This year the Capital Area Technology Association (CATA) celebrates its 27th year, making CATA the longest, continually running technology association in New York’s Tech Valley. CATA exists to support both Users (those professionals involved in the daily use, purchase or maintaining of Voice and Data hardware and software on their organization’s site) and Vendors (those professionals who market Voice and Data hardware and software).
Our monthly meeting topics are generated by our membership through our annual member survey. Our monthly meetings are educational and informative, disseminating knowledge of technology related subjects and economic impact to our area as well as providing an opportunity to network with other IT and Telecom Professionals.
Most of our members are primarily from the Tech Valley Area of New York State, comprised of New York’s Capital Region, Hudson and Mohawk Valleys, Adirondack and North Country. Tech Valley is looked upon favorably by many national publications such as Forbes and Inc. Magazines because of low cost of living, wonderful natural resources, multitude of nationally recognized colleges and universities and not the least our base of technology related organizations. Many of these organizations are actively involved in CATA and understand the value of meeting with others in their field of endeavor.
Please visit our Vendor Member Page to view those organizations that support and participate in CATA. We encourage you to visit their web sites and call upon them when you need their expertise.
Please browse our web site and I invite you to join CATA and be a regular participant at our meetings. If you’re not sure about membership quite yet, register for a meeting and come see what CATA is all about. Thank you for visiting our site today, we hope to meet you!
