John Kelbley

Solution Specialist at Microsoft

John Kelbley is a Solution Specialist with Microsoft, focused on helping State and Local government agencies increase productivity and reduce costs.   Previous to John’s public sector-focused role,  he was a senior technical product manager with the Windows Server Platform Strategy team, where he focused on Virtualization and Open Source / interoperability.  John is co-author of several books on virtualization including, “Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V: Insiders Guide to Microsoft’s Hypervisor” and a contributor to TechNet Magazine. His writing is largely focus on his obsession with backup and recovery, automation through scripting, and “low cost” approaches to computing problems.  John blogs at http://blogs.technet.com/enterprise_admin/default.aspx.   John joined Microsoft in 2002 after working at numerous large enterprises as a Management Consultant, IT Manager, and Infrastructure Architect with over 20 years of computing industry experience.
